We love sharing recipes that bring medicinal foods into your life. These no bake balls are yummy and easy to make. Adding herbs into recipes at home is a simple and delicious way to incorporate medicinal foods into your daily routine—supporting your health in a way that feels natural and enjoyable.
So many of our patients at Rebecca Snow Nutrition are sick of taking pills! We creatively help our patients add medicine to their food. I.e. instead of taking a lion's mane mushroom supplement, you can add powdered extract to this recipe and eat it as a snack.
One Immune Ball daily provides a good dose of medicinal mushrooms to support immunity (approximately ⅓ tsp. mushroom extract powder). We like to source mushroom extract powders rather than just bulk powdered mushrooms. Real mushrooms has extract powders you can purchase https://www.realmushrooms.com/
Alternatively you can make this recipe with female topics and adaptogens for vitality and libido. I like a blend of maca and shatavari in this recipe for that purpose.
This recipe is also rich in minerals, fiber, probiotics and provides a good balanced snack or healthier treat.
To add probiotics just open up a few capsules of your favorite probiotics and add ot the mix. I like to keep the balls refrigerated for longer shelf life and preserve the beneficial bacteria.
